We’re revamping the Sniper unit this week. He’s got a functional jetpack now, new zoom functions, and a new gun look. Now you can unlock new vantage points and support your squad from afar.

We have also added options to the skirmish menu to allow you to customize the amount of units that spawn per batch and how frequently. As well, you can control the population cap. And, while there are sliders for these parameters, you may also put the cap at whatever number you want.

There is also now a legacy branch available in the Steam Library page. This will always be kept as the update before the latest update to allow people that are interested in speed running and whatnot adequate time to take care of any unfinished business with the last build.

Changes:

  • Sniper units' double jump replaced with flight ability
  • Zoom is full screen when you’re playing in first person mode
  • Scroll to zoom in or out further with the sniper scope
  • Added a dot scope for the side screen zoom cam
  • The sniper rifle has recoil while you’re zoomed in
  • Added some special barks for the sniper
  • Added gravity to the sniper bullet and a new sound effect
  • Taking cover will offer the same accuracy benefit as going prone
  • Altered Loading screens
  • Pressing G makes your current unit the Squad Leader
  • Added Wilhelm Scream when you fall off the map
  • While in zoom mode, camera movement is touchy, but it improves with time

Fixes:

  • We removed the hit decals that were appearing on units
  • Changed the Slow Bullet weapon, to fix issues with the AI
  • Turrets on the armed barracks can be upgraded from the same menu as the building upgrade
